This is not the year to overthink.
The Year of the Fire Horse is a year of movement—where action creates clarity, consistency builds freedom, and the path appears once you begin to move.

In the Chinese Zodiac, time doesn’t move in straight lines. It moves in cycles.

There are twelve animals in the zodiac, each carrying a distinct energetic lesson, unfolding in this order: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, Pig. Each year builds on the wisdom—and the work—of the year before it.

Last year was the Year of the Snake.

In numerology, it carried a 9-year vibration—the number of endings. The Snake teaches shedding: releasing old skins, outdated identities, and patterns that no longer fit who we are becoming. It was a year of deep internal change, quiet reckonings, and necessary completions. For many, it wasn’t flashy. It was subtle. Psychological. Transformational.

And now—we’ve shifted.

This year is the Year of the Fire Horse. A 1-year in numerology. The number of beginnings.

The Horse does not pause to overthink.
It moves.

Activate Prosperity Energy with Feng Shui at Mount Shasta

What if you could travel to a place to activate prosperity: Mt Shasta Prosperity.

We often think of it as numbers in a bank account. But what if prosperity is something bigger — a flow, a current of energy that nourishes every part of our lives? And what if you could go to a place that activates that energy for you?

In Feng Shui, the prosperity area — the Southeast corner — is connected to Wood, fed by Water. Growth and nourishment. Which is why I traveled to Mount Shasta, a place where the snowmelt becomes rivers, flowing out to sustain valleys and lives far below. Shasta reminds us: prosperity is about circulation, not holding on too tightly.

Pilgrims come to Shasta for clarity, healing, and manifestation. Legends say ancient beings live within her, guiding those who listen. Whether you believe in the myths or not, one thing is certain: this mountain radiates vitality.

Standing there, I realized: prosperity is not about holding on tightly. It’s about trusting the flow, allowing resources, love, and energy to move through us, nourishing others along the way. Just like Shasta’s streams, prosperity multiplies when it circulates.

Whether you travel or not to Mount Shasta, here is a chi-enhancing practice you can do:

Visualize your “Wealth Forest”: In meditation, picture yourself walking through a dense, green forest where each tree is a stream of income or a source of abundance.
Anchor with an Object: Bring back a stone, coin, or plant. Place it in the Southeast corner of your home.
Flow Offering: create a ritual of “flow” by donating a small amount regularly to your church, synagogue, temple, charity, or the homeless — prosperity multiplies when it circulates.

Mount Shasta teaches us that prosperity is a living energy. It’s not about accumulation — it’s about circulation, generosity, and trust in life’s natural flow.

So, the next time you feel stuck or worried about money, close your eyes. Picture a mountain spring, tumbling down into rivers that nourish the land. Let your chi move like that water — clear, abundant, unstoppable.

Because prosperity isn’t just money. It’s vitality. It’s generosity. It’s the flow of life itself.

New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day Rituals for a Powerful 2026

As we welcome 2026, the dawn of a new year brings the promise of fresh beginnings and boundless hope. It’s a time to pause, reflect, and envision the path ahead—an opportunity to embrace change, chase dreams, and rewrite the story of our lives with renewed determination. As the New Year invites us to let go of what no longer serves us, to nurture the seeds of possibility, and to move forward with hearts full of courage and optimism – here are some suggestions you can do on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day to ensure a successful beginning.

New Year’s Eve:

Open up your front door and symbolically sweep out the energy from the year.
Clean Up Your house so the energy of the new year flows unrestrictedly.
Stand in the center of your house. This is the heart of your home. Clear your mind of any negative thoughts you might have. You might need to forgive someone or yourself.
Ring a bell several times. Light sage or sandalwood incense. Just let the year go.

New Year’s Day:

This day sets the chi for the entire year, so don’t pay bills, don’t argue with your family, don’t perform these negative patterns. Maybe call your family and friends and tell them what they mean to you. Perhaps you travel on this day.

Before you get out of bed, choose the word you say sets the chi; choose wisely. Could be love, service, prosperity, and health. What do you need? What do you want? Speaking this word out loud is powerful.
Pick a theme song that represents the year you want.
Be grateful. Maybe write a list of all the things you are grateful for.
Wear something that makes you feel abundant – setting that chi.
Surround yourself with people you love and who love you.

In this blank canvas of 2026, may you find the inspiration to create a year filled with purpose, growth, and joy.

Take a few quiet moments today to choose how you want to feel this year. Intention is the most powerful place to begin.

The Ancient Roots of Birthdays
The origins of birthdays are far older than we imagine. We can thank the Egyptians for inventing the calendar, which allowed people to mark the return of the sun to the exact position it held on the day of their birth.

As early as 3000 BCE, Egyptians celebrated the birthdays of Pharaohs—not simply as personal milestones, but as acknowledgments of divine life itself.

The Greeks infused birthdays with mythology, honoring Artemis, goddess of the moon, with round cakes to mirror the moon’s glow. Candles were added as symbols of divine light, and the tradition of making a wish when blowing them out was born.

The Romans layered in their own traditions, marking 50th birthdays with gatherings and offerings. Over centuries, these practices wove together into what we now recognize as the modern birthday celebration.
