Activate Prosperity Energy with Feng Shui at Mount Shasta

What if you could travel to a place to activate prosperity: Mt Shasta Prosperity.

We often think of it as numbers in a bank account. But what if prosperity is something bigger — a flow, a current of energy that nourishes every part of our lives? And what if you could go to a place that activates that energy for you?

In Feng Shui, the prosperity area — the Southeast corner — is connected to Wood, fed by Water. Growth and nourishment. Which is why I traveled to Mount Shasta, a place where the snowmelt becomes rivers, flowing out to sustain valleys and lives far below. Shasta reminds us: prosperity is about circulation, not holding on too tightly.

Pilgrims come to Shasta for clarity, healing, and manifestation. Legends say ancient beings live within her, guiding those who listen. Whether you believe in the myths or not, one thing is certain: this mountain radiates vitality.

Standing there, I realized: prosperity is not about holding on tightly. It’s about trusting the flow, allowing resources, love, and energy to move through us, nourishing others along the way. Just like Shasta’s streams, prosperity multiplies when it circulates.

Whether you travel or not to Mount Shasta, here is a chi-enhancing practice you can do:

Visualize your “Wealth Forest”: In meditation, picture yourself walking through a dense, green forest where each tree is a stream of income or a source of abundance.
Anchor with an Object: Bring back a stone, coin, or plant. Place it in the Southeast corner of your home.
Flow Offering: create a ritual of “flow” by donating a small amount regularly to your church, synagogue, temple, charity, or the homeless — prosperity multiplies when it circulates.

Mount Shasta teaches us that prosperity is a living energy. It’s not about accumulation — it’s about circulation, generosity, and trust in life’s natural flow.

So, the next time you feel stuck or worried about money, close your eyes. Picture a mountain spring, tumbling down into rivers that nourish the land. Let your chi move like that water — clear, abundant, unstoppable.

Because prosperity isn’t just money. It’s vitality. It’s generosity. It’s the flow of life itself.

The Power of Color

When we enter a room or see an object for the first time, our minds register its color before any other detail. The colors our eyes can perceive are like words that form a subtle language of mood, energy, and insight. Color can exert a gentle effect on the mind and the body, influencing our dispositions and our physical health. Color has the ability to trigger our emotions, affect the way we think and act, and influence our attitudes. You unconsciously respond to the color of the walls in your home, your car, your clothing, and the food you eat based on your body’s natural reactions to certain colors. The consequences of the decision to paint a room or wear a specific article of clothing, therefore, go beyond aesthetics.

The colors you encounter throughout your day can make you feel happy or sad, invigorate you or drain your vitality, and even affect your work habits.

Throughout history, cultures spread over many different parts of the globe have attributed varying meanings to different colors. In China, blue is associated with immortality, while people in the Middle East view blue as a color of protection. There is also evidence that human beings respond to color in a very visceral way. Red excites us and inflames our passions. Too much red, however, can make us feel overstimulated and irritated. Pink tends to make people feel loved and protected, but can also cause feelings of lethargy. Yellow represents joy or optimism and can energize you and help you think more clearly. Bright orange reduces depression and sadness. Blue and green are known to inspire peaceful feelings, and people are often able to concentrate better and work in rooms painted in soft blues and greens. The darker tones of both colors can make you feel serious and introspective.

Choose to surround yourself with the colors that you are attracted to and that make you feel good, and you can create an environment that makes you feel nurtured, peaceful, and uplifted.

7 Ways to Bring Balance to Your Life in the Fall Season

Fall is my favorite time of year! Cooler temperatures, cashmere sweaters, hot tea, and my birthday month. After the great light of summer, we must welcome the depth and mystery of fall. This is a time when endings make way for new beginnings. Mother Nature begins preparing for a type of death, and we too may feel called to let things go. Because life is a circle, and nothing truly grows unless it dies. I find there is a beauty in new beginnings that start quietly under the darkness of colder months.

Here are 7 things we all can do to bring balance to our lives during the fall:

Fall is the season of the metal element which is represented in the shape of a circle and in colors like silver, grey gold, white and black. I like to bring in wear these colors and I send myself white flowers.
This is a wonderful season to clean out all the clutter from summer.
Pull off the dead leaves from your garden. We don’t want any stagnant dead energy.
Replace your doormat which symbolically will represent bringing new opportunities in all aspects.
Clean out all the expired canned goods and spices from your kitchen.
Bring in candles that smell like cinnamon or pumpkin or anything that reminds you of fall and light those candles representing lighting the way to new opportunities.
Have fresh fruit in a bowl in your kitchen symbolizing that you will never go hungry.

Fall is the perfect time to connect to the light and to the dark; the yin and yang; the masculine and feminine, because if we allow it, life can truly begin all over again in the fall.

Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day originated as a Western Christian feast day honoring one or more early saints named Saint Valentine. The most popular theory is that the holiday was created to celebrate Saint Valentine of Rome, a priest who was martyred in the early days of Christianity. According to legend, Saint Valentine was imprisoned for performing marriages for Christian couples in secret, defying the orders of the Roman Emperor Claudius II, who had banned marriages because he believed that single men made better soldiers.

The holiday was first associated with romantic love in the High Middle Ages when the tradition of courtly love flourished. By the 15th century, Valentine’s Day had become a celebration of love in Europe, and by the 17th and 18th centuries, it had evolved into a day for exchanging love letters and gifts.

Valentine’s Day was introduced to the United States in the early 1700s by British settlers, and by the late 1800s, it had become a holiday celebrated with cards, flowers, and candy. Today, Valentine’s Day is a major holiday in many countries around the world, celebrated by people of all ages and cultures. It remains a day for expressing love and affection, whether between romantic partners, friends, or family

Using the energy modality of Feng Shui and your home let’s bring in some love by activating that power section of your home which is the farthest right corner of your space. Perhaps bring a bouquet of pink or red flowers, bring in some pairs like chairs or pillows or candles, and remove all photos of single people in this section. I feng shui’d a woman’s house once and in this section, she had one angel and one Lady of Guadalupe, and one butterfly. So, we grouped two angels, and two butterflies and we put Diego with the Lady of Guadalupe.

Let’s drop down a level into another energy modality – the elements by using mantras or affirmations. Here is what I say: By the power of Earth, Air, Fire, and Sea I call forth love and abundance to me. With every breath and every sound, I attract love and blessings that are profound.

All of y’all that aren’t in a relationship with a partner, you still are in a relationship with yourself. So, here’s to celebrating you and all that you are. And one piece of advice to this group – wait for someone who loves you differently. One who can see the fire in your soul, the child in your laugh, and the ocean in your heart.

9 Ways to Feng Shui Your Christmas Tree

Just when you thought the holidays were stressful enough, throw in Covid, and this year’s energy feels like a hot mess.

My family celebrates Hanukkah, Christmas, The Winter Solstice, New Year’s, Chinese New Year, – because feng shui is all about moving and celebrating all kinds of energy.

Since the energy in your home affects your health and well-being, here are some things you can do to help with your holiday chi:

Clear out unused toys and items. Before the tree and new gifts are given, take time to go through each room and clear out old, broken, and unused items.
Put the Christmas tree up early. Research has shown that people who put up their trees earlier are happier, and the twinkling lights of the tree naturally put us in a better mood.
Placement is important. Select a spot where the tree isn’t blocking your path and access to things like cabinets you might need.
Buy a live tree. Consider buying a tree with roots so you can plant it outside after the holidays, which adds to your karma points. Many communities have an “adopt a tree” program where you return your tree in January so it can be planted outside with other trees, then you can decide if you want it back next year.
Use gold ornaments. The color gold represents wealth and opportunity.
Everyone decorates. Have everyone in the family place at least one decoration on the tree. This will help to contribute to better family connections.
Presents. Never let your tree stand without presents; it’s like having a wallet with no cash. Both are bad symbolism.
Place lots of heartfelt gifts under the tree. This year more than ever is the perfect time to forgo the extravagant expensive gifts in exchange for thoughtful ones. Write a meaningful letter to each member of your family and tell them how grateful you are for them and why. Put the letter in a big box symbolizing all your gratitude. Go to the Dollar Store and buy playing cards and games so after you open your gifts; your family can continue to enjoy each other. Baked goods under the tree are always welcome in our home.
Keep the lights on throughout the night. Lights are the most powerful way of activating the fire element, which will bring happiness and good fortune. So if it is safe to do so, leave the lights on, symbolizing that you are lighting the way for opportunities next year.
