As I write this, I’m in a great deal of pain.
I’ll be having surgery soon—relief is on the horizon—but right now, even the simplest movements feel like a battle. The pain is constant, exhausting, and humbling. And in these moments of discomfort, I’ve turned, once again, to Feng Shui.
Because when you’re in pain—physical, emotional, or spiritual—your environment matters more than ever.
Pain takes many forms.
Sometimes it’s sharp and physical.
Other times, it’s quiet and emotional—tucked deep in the corners of the heart.
But what if… your home could help you heal?
Here are five simple Feng Shui suggestions you can do right now, wherever you are, to begin shifting the energy of pain into the energy of healing
- Clear Stagnant Energy
Feng Shui teaches us that our spaces hold energy. Clutter creates stagnation. And when you’re healing, stagnant energy only makes things harder. Start where you rest. Start small. Clear a drawer. Wipe a shelf. Let light in.
Ask yourself: Does this support my healing?
If not, bless it—and let it go.
- Activate the Health Area
The health area of your home is the center of your space—or wherever your kitchen is located.
Keep this area clean, clear, and grounded. Add earth elements like crystals, pottery, or plants. Place a photo of yourself smiling, a meaningful quote, or anything that reminds you:
I am healing. I am supported.
- Make Your Bedroom a Sanctuary
This is where your body repairs and renews. Choose soft, calming colors. Remove harsh lights and electronics. Use natural textures, comforting scents, and if possible, a sturdy headboard.
Let your bedroom whisper:
You are safe. You can rest now.
- Balance the Five Elements
In Feng Shui, true healing comes from balance
- Water for emotional release
- Earth for grounding and support
- Metal for mental clarity
- Wood for growth and vitality
- Fire for energy and circulation
Look around—what’s missing in your space? What’s missing in your life?
Bring it in gently. Let it work its quiet magic.

Create a Healing Nook
Set aside one small area—a shelf, a tray, a table. Place a candle. A sacred object. A photo. A stone that feels good in your hand. Write an intention:
I welcome healing into my life.
Sit there. Breathe. No fixing. No forcing. Just presence.
Pain isolates. It contracts.
But Feng Shui reminds us that space can soften, open, and restore.
Your space matters.
Your energy matters.
And you—your healing, your wholeness—absolutely matter.
Keep creating a life that is sacred.
Keep creating a life that is meaningful.
It will help you heal.
