Due to COVID, so many careers have taken a turn or a detour and many have been looking for a job for a while so those detours might feel like dead ends. However, feng shui can help. The emphasis is on the word “help.” Feng Shui can be used as a support vehicle, however, it’s not magic. You need to take action like sending out resumes and networking.

Here are a few tips to help you move your chi, bring harmony and create the flow needed to find the job you want.
- The Front Door – clean it up, use it, buy a new mat, and leave the light on symbolizing that you are lighting the way for new opportunities.
- Let it Flow -The back left corner of your home is your wealth and prosperity power section. This area likes a water feature, symbolizing the flow of money. This will help generate more chi. The water feature can be a photo of a waterfall, just make sure the visual has the movement or flow of water, nothing still, stormy or turbulent. Mirrors can also bring the energy of water to this area.
- Get rid of bad chi – If you want a big change then get rid of bad chi which consists of broken items, negative thoughts, and any clutter.
- Have no fear –Think of three or four past successes, perhaps obstacles you have overcome, and when fear creeps into your consciousness think of these successes to anchor you in present-day awareness.
- What will you wear on your first day? Sit quietly and visualize what you are wearing that first day. The way you present yourself that first day sets the chi for this job. So, find that power dress, shirt, or suit that will represent your success, and that will showcase dedication.
- Have fresh green plants in your home – plants symbolically represent growth and new opportunities.
- Believe – Most importantly believe that you will get the job that will serve your highest purpose. Keep positive, stay optimistic, and don’t lose hope. Be open to the possibility that the job might come in an unexpected way, in an unexpected place, from an unexpected company.

Recently, a family who had just lost their son called me. After a long battle with leukemia, he died in his bedroom, he was just 11. They wanted me to stand in that difficult sacred space between the living and the dead, between faith and fear, and determine the best way to honor his spirit. As I walked in I heard a woman, who I suppose was a friend tell the grieving family not to think of the little boy’s body, because it was “just a shell.” I am sure this thought was well-intentioned but was said by a person who is unsettled by the fresh grief of others. Right between the inhale and the exhale of the bone-wracking sobs such hurts produce, to some it’s normal to have this “just a shell idea.”
Several months after the celebration of the life of this little boy I returned and made these suggestions:
I’m so excited to tell y’all that I am teaching a three-part live Zoom class on my latest book The Goddess Principles: Nine Ways of Applying Ancient Wisdom to the Mystery in You. I taught this class at the University of Texas at El Paso last semester.
