Welcome to Creating a Meaningful Life.
I’m Michelle Cromer. Today marks the Summer Solstice—the longest day of the year. From the Latin solstitium, meaning “sun standing still,” this is a moment to pause in the light, both cosmically and personally.
Ancient cultures honored this time as sacred. From Stonehenge to Mesoamerican temples, the solstice was seen as a portal of reflection and renewal.
Now is a perfect time to ask yourself:
- Where am I being called to shine?
- What is ready to be seen, celebrated, or released?
This season reminds us of life’s fullness—and its fleeting nature. It’s a time to bloom and also to begin letting go.
Try this simple ritual:
- Light a candle at sunrise or sunset
- Reflect on what’s thriving in your life.
- Give thanks. Then ask—what can I release as the days grow shorter?
Let the solstice be your still point.
A breath. A moment of clarity.
Stand in the light.
Let it show you who you truly are.
