My goddaughter recently asked me a great question – she works for a wonderful senator in DC but she finds that work she has begun to take on other people’s energy and sometimes work can be toxic for her and she asked me if I had any advice.
So if you find the same thing happening to you here a few things you can do:
- Before you go into your office or workspace close your eyes and wrap yourself up with a white light. Almost as if you are stepping into a white bubble that will serve to symbolically protect you.
- Pick an animal that you can imagine walking into work with you. This totem is also for protection.
- If someone invades your space take a step back from them.
- When you are in a meeting sit at one of the ends of a table or by a window. Toxic energy seems to gather in the middle of the rooms.
- Eat protein. This simple tool will help ground your energy.
- Take a shower when you get home from work and imagine all the toxic energy is going down the drain with the water.

And, I think out of all the people we meet, we fall in love with three of them, each for a different reason.

Each trip I take seems to be defined by a single moment, and those moments always involve a person. I randomly hired a driver who happened to be a man named Marius. He picked me up from the Reykjavik airport and showed me around while I waited on my fellow explorer and dear friend Olga to arrive.

When they tell you to heal and move on, don’t listen. Healing from loss doesn’t look like healing from an injury. This was not a broken bone, these are pieces of our hearts, and now a piece of our heart is gone.
