If you only pick one room to Feng Shui in your house, make it your bedroom. The bedroom is considered the most important room of the home in feng shui philosophy. No matter where your bedroom is, it represents the relationships in your life, none more important than the one you have with yourself.
If I could pick one thing in your bedroom to focus on, it would be your bed, the one place in your home where you spend most of your time.
Here are a couple of suggestions for your bed:
- Make sure your bed is in a commanding position, facing the door but not directly in line with the door.
- Always have a headboard, which represents the stability and support you get in your relationships, especially romantic ones.
- Place your headboard against a solid wall, with space available on the other three sides of the bed (left, right and foot).
- Avoid placing your headboard against a wall that has a toilet on the other side.
- Take a good look at what you have stored under your bed. If you have anything under your bed those things affect you while you are asleep in a passive yin state. What you have there represents or creates subconscious blocks in your life.
- Reduce EMF’s in your bedroom – the electric and magnetic fields created by electronic devices.
- Have a pair of nightstands, they don’t have to match, and they will represent the balance and harmony in your relationships.
- Be selective about the artwork over your bed. I can tell 100% of the time what is going on in a relationship based on this artwork. This photo has a single woman, which tells me one or both really don’t want to be in a partnership. Instead invite partnerships with artwork that depicts or comes in pairs, like two flowers, two birds, two trees etc. Or anything that represents the love you share with your partner.
