I am still celebrating the season of love and evoking Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty! However, I wanted to share what happens when you go overboard with this energy.
Last year I had a feng shui job in *Scottsdale. I rang the doorbell and this gorgeous woman answered, only wearing a red bra, red garter, and red pumps, with a silk white robe that barely covered her perfect Five foot seven, willowy frame. Her face looked like it was cut right out of the pages of a men’s magazine. Her black hair flowed down her back like black ink on a piece of parchment. Her eyes were fox-like and had an icy greyish green hue like the first sprouts of plants in the snow.
I took a step away from the front door and jokingly said, “Sugar, this is not that kind of appointment. It could be, but it’s not going to be.” She laughed and said she needed to finish getting dressed and invited me in.
While she was in her bedroom putting her clothes on I began to notice a distinct pattern in her home. There were patterns of “3’s” everywhere: three pillows on the couch; three canisters in the kitchen, three candles over on the mantle, three books on the table… So when she came out I simply asked her, without judgment, if she was in a triangle relationship. I knew this because the pattern of three’s represented the shape of a triangle. She admitted to having an affair with her boss. I asked her if she wanted to stay in that relationship and she said no, that is why she had called me. She shared she was ready to be in a relationship with just one person that could lead to a lifelong commitment. So we spent the afternoon grouping items around her home into the pattern of “2’s” the pattern of couples and setting some goals.
About a month after my visit she did meet someone and I recently got an invitation to her wedding.
I encourage you to spend some time looking at your space and see what patterns are consistent in your own home. Your home will always reveal your inner truth.
